The Sailing Life

Rick and Katie are no strangers to adventure. But selling their home on land and buying a boat was still quite a leap! Since then they have raised their daughter on their boat and seen over 30,000 nautical miles of the great blue ocean. Next? They plan on setting sail to Cuba. On this episode learn why they say experiences far outweigh the material things in life.

Although Rick and Katie left their land jobs Teaching and VIP Travel Experience Planning, respectively. They still tap into their skills constantly to sustain their chosen lifestyle. For example, Rick and Katie will plan out experiences for vacationers giving them the shortcuts and highlights to all the places they have been before. In addition, they have a “Learn to Sail Adventure-Education Package” for a select few people per year.

Makana

Makana’s 2015 Winter and 2016 Summer already have itineraries in motion. From dinner cruises to learning how to set sail Rick and Katie have unlocked how to sustain their dream lifestyle by sharing it with others. They say Makana means gift in Hawaiian and they feel the boat is not just a gift for them but all that share in her experiences!
