Start to Sail Audio Lessons
Franz put together a series of audio lessons to help current sailors and future sailors prepare for the ASA 101 the ASA 103 and the ASA 104 exams. If you are just starting out and want to learn to sail I recommend that you start out by listening to the Basic Keelboat Certification Lessons(ASA 101). It will start out by teaching you the parts of a boat and basic maneuvers as well as what is required to pass the written portion of the ASA 101 exam. I try to make all these lessons interesting by peppering the lessons with real world anecdotes of my experiences to try to reinforce the lessons

My name is Ron Foos, I am a fan of what you are doing in sailing and entertaining us all. I enjoy your podcasts and the interesting stories from all over the world from your guests. I am a 71 y/o professional musician who has traveled all over the U.S, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Greece, Guam, Japan, So. Korea, Italy, Netherlands, Germany as my life in a touring pop-rock band and doing U.S.O. military tours (You may remember “Paul Revere and the Raiders” from the ’60s, ~ if not that means I am older than I thought!
My reason for writing you is two-fold, first, to again thank you for a great podcast you have put together.
Secondly, I heard on one of your recent podcasts you may still be looking for a person to work & travel with you on your trip to Croatia. (?) I will be traveling and staying in Salt Lake City on May 27th, 2021. Coming up soon. I have a concert to play with The Raiders on Sat. May 29th. If possible and you have time, I would like to ask if we could meet for lunch or coffee and talk over the prospects of me joining you on one of your sailing trips.
